A Day of Sorrow takes place in the fantasy world of Alatine. My previous book, A Promise of Blood should be read before this novel, only due to understanding Carnade's story first. The Chronicles of Darkness, The Tales of Old, also takes place in the world of Alatine, but it can be read before or after.

There are 3 POV's that you'll travel with through your adventure through the fall of Riverin. Carnade Shores, The Kalris of Riverin's Order. Derosai Azrin, The Vemrin of Riverin's Order. And lastly, Alithium, from another world, torn into a disaster that she wishes to escape.

This is an epic tale that you won't want to miss. It's only a small piece of what is to come within the world of Alatine.
