Jennifer has been going through the motions, not living her life but only existing. Everything she does now is for her young son Kevin, who she lives alone with since Tony left. She has let herself go, putting on pound upon pound, hiding away at the Last Stop Value Mart, aging quickly into obesity and becoming more and more filled with self-loathing and self-doubt until that fateful day when Richard would come into her store and become enamoured with her smile. But how can Jennifer ever trust in Richard's affections for her if she has none for herself. Can anyone ever truly believe that someone can love them when they are no longer able to love themselves? Will Jennifer find a way to overcome her self-hate and finally accept Richard's love is true? Can she look beyond her weight issues and her beliefs that nobody could ever see her as beautiful, long enough to let Richard into her life, and the life of her son Kevin?
