Similar to me in my human form. She is a person! It's not a mate I desire. A pitiful and weak partner is not what I desire! She is unable to heal me! She is insignificant! Forget about it!

The girl opened her eyes slightly, and I took the action that, at the moment, seemed proper.

"I, Elijah Wilson, reject you as my mate!" With all the fortitude I could summon in my deplorable emotional condition, I said, and I left her there, my heart aching deeply. However, I ignored the pain and sprinted away at my maximum superhuman speed.
