Dijana's interest in autism stems from her close therapeutic relationship with her younger clients, who she evaluates and treats when they are diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum disorder at an early age. Through their adventures together, she gained a deep appreciation for the unique perspectives and strengths that individuals with autism bring to the world. It is her hope that her books will not only entertain young readers but also foster a sense of compassion and acceptance and provide for family reading time together as families grow in their attachment.

When she's not writing, Dijana enjoys exploring California's nature trails, baking sweet treats, and spending time with her husband and their special dog, Bella. She holds a degree in Psychology with emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy and is dedicated to creating heartfelt stories that resonate with children and families everywhere.
