This book is about a young boy who had a dream of becoming a firefighter and a paramedic. Through years of hard work and dedication, he reached his goal of saving lives and property. However, not all lives and property can be saved. This book contains stories of real events that have taken place; some are tragic and some are funny scenarios.I have written this book to help me unload some of the things that I will carry with me for life. Things that I have seen, done, and dealt with almost on a daily basis. This story is not just mine; it is shared by others that do this job day in and day out. First responders deal with so much on and off duty — it was our choice to make this a career, but there is nothing easy about this job.My name is Darren Duvall.
