This work represents the first independent study of the Jewish Christian Gospel fragments and of the use of the Jewish-Christian Gospel tradition in early Christian and medieval literature.
This is the second edition of a work published as long ago as 1962. The at-the-time relatively young Dr. A. F. J. Klijn was brought up in the school of W. C. van Unnik and G. Quispel, both in Utrecht.
