The Influence of International Institutions on the EU—When Multilateralism Hits Brussels

An exploration of how the EU is influenced by multilateral institutions. There has recently been a dramatic increase in interaction between the EU and multilateral institutions. This book shows that international institutions shape EU policies, as well as acting as a source of preferences and strategies for EU stances internationally.

From September 2007 to September 2009 he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Arbeitsstelle Europaische Integration (OSI) at the FU Berlin. KNUD ERIK JORGENSEN Professor of International Relations at Aarhus University, Denmark. He is the Chair of the ECPR Standing Group on International Relations and former editor of Cooperation and Conflict, co-editor of the Palgrave Studies in International Relations series and associate editor of Journal of European Integration. He is directing a project on the EU's performance in international institutions.
