Business Administration Education—Changes in Management and Leadership Strategies

A dynamic collaboration of nine experienced scholars, this timely work shares their rich blend of experiences and insights on emerging paradigms. JOAN MARQUES is a faculty member and chair of the BBA Program at Woodbury University's School of Business. She also co-founded the Business Renaissance Institute, BRI, and the Academy of Spirituality and Professional Excellence, ASPEX, through which she regularly interacts with management scholars and practitioners, and publishes three scholarly journals. She has authored, co-authored, and co-edited nine books, including Stories to Tell Your Students: Transforming toward Organizational Growth; Managing in the Twenty-first Century: Transforming Toward Mutual Growth (both Palgrave Macmillan, 2011); and Joy at Work, Work at Joy: Living and Working Mindfully Every Day. Her work has been published in a wide variety of publications. SATINDER DHIMAN is professor of Management, associate dean, and director of the MBA Program at Woodbury University's School of Business. He has co-authored various textbooks, most recently, Stories to Tell Your Students: Transforming toward Organizational Growth; Managing in the Twenty-first Century: Transforming Toward Mutual Growth (both Palgrave Macmillan, 2011); and The Workplace and Spirituality: New Perspectives on Research and Practice. He is co-founder of the Business Renaissance Institute, BRI, and the Academy for Spirituality and Professional Excellence, ASPEX, and co-organizes workshops for workforce members, while he also frequently interacts with scholars through the three scholarly journals he co-edits. SVETLANA HOLT has been teaching at Woodbury University since 2004. She has fifteen years' experience in corporate training for performance improvement, business administration, database management, student support, and new curricula design and evaluation. She is a registered practitioner for Mayer-Salovey-Caruso emotional intelligence model of organizational development. Her research and publication topics include leadership in multicultural settings, emotional intelligence as it relates to organizational performance, and academic achievement in higher education.
