In this book we present a survey and classification of a Porteno typology in true Becher-fashion which documents the situations encountered during the search process a la Duchamp or Beuys. However, far-removed from the procedures of the typological survey of the Dusseldorf School, the phenomenological sampling of Buenos Aires that we have embarked on is much closer to the procedure of situationist derive as described by Debord in his Theorie de la Derive. This consisted of drifting away from one urban space to another, moving away from classical notions of walks or promenades and abandoning oneself to the search for psychogeographical effects.
