He lives in Boston. Kate Lorig, DrPH, is the director and a professor emeritus at Stanford University School of Medicine’s Patient Education Research Center. She lives in Mountain View, California. Diana Laurent, MPH, and Virginia Gonzalez, MPH, are chronic disease health educators and consultants to the Stanford Patient Education Research Center. Virginia lives in San Jose, California.
