Pamala Wiepking is Assistant Professor at the Department of Business-Society Management, Rotterdam School of Management at the Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands. She studies philanthropy and nonprofit organizations from a cross-national and interdisciplinary perspective.

Femida Handy is Professor of Social Policy at the University of Pennsylvania, USA. Her research and teaching focus on the economics of the nonprofit sector, volunteering, philanthropy, nonprofit entrepreneurship and micro-finance. She has written on all aspects of the nonprofit sector including international comparative scholarship. She is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly, an eminent journal in the field.
