Dejan Mumovic is a building scientist with a background in heating, ventilation and air conditioning engineering and has extensive experience of monitoring and modelling work in the field of the built environment. Dejan is a Senior Lecturer at the Bartlett School of Graduate Studies, co-director of EPSRC Engineering Doctorate Centre in Virtual Environments, Imaging and Visualisation (VEIV), and chairs the Bartlett Master of Research Committee. In the last 13 years Dejan has led, co-led or significantly contributed to 30 projects, 8 of them undertaken for the DCLG Building Regulations Division (under the Buildings Operational Performance Framework). Dejan is a cofounder and long standing board member of two specialist groups: IBPSA-England (an affiliate of the International Building Performance Simulation Association, 610 members, September 2013) and CIBSE School Design Group (5,700 members, September 2013). He also sits on the editorial advisory boards of the Elsevier’s International Journal of Sustainable Built Environment and Bentham’s open access Construction and Building Technology Journal. Dejan is an Honorary Professor at Roma Tre University, and a reviewer for 14 scientific journals and funding bodies in the UK, Belgium, Netherlands and Serbia.

Mat Santamouris is Professor of Energy Physics at the University of Athens and serves or served as visiting professor at the Metropolitan University of London, Tokyo Polytechnic University, National University of Singapore, Bolzano University and the Cyprus Institute. He is Editor of the Earthscan/Routledge Buildings, Energy and Solar Technologies (BEST) series. He served as President of the National Center of Renewable Energies and Savings for the period 2010-2012. He has been coordinator of many major international research programs like PASCOOL, OFFICE, POLISTUDIES, AIOLOS, BUILT, RESET, INTERSET, COOL ROOFS, etc. He is a consultant to many International and National Energy Institutions, external examiner at eight international Universities, referee for 72 international peer review scientific journals, and reviewer of national and international research projects in the European Commission, USA, UK, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Singapore, Sweden, Luxembourg, Ireland, Estonia, Slovenia, Qatar, Cyprus, etc.
