This book contains comprehensive information and knowledge generated in the latest developments of polarization related technologies resulting from the rapid advances in fiber optic communication and sensing in the past 25 years. In particular, it addresses the issues facing engineers and scientists working on optical fiber communication and/or sensing systems, explains the problems and impairments affecting the performance of these systems, and provides practical solutions towards these problems or impairments.
