Analysis of the Income of Chicken Producers in Chówè during Covid

With the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, which affected various sectors of production around the world, from developed to developing countries, the virus spread easily through physical contact from one infected person to another. To contain the virus, a state of emergency had to be declared, culminating in the immobility of movement of people, goods and services with the closure of borders, negatively affecting economic dynamics.And poultry farming in Mozambique is extremely important because it provides families with animal protein, promoting food security and generating employment in the country.Therefore, a study was conducted in the city of Ch鏦w?with the aim of analyzing the income of chicken producers in Ch鏦w?during Covid19. The Covid-19 pandemic was found to have directly affected poultry production by small and medium-sized producers in the city of Ch鏦w? thus raising input prices, significantly reducing the quantity produced during the pandemic, and also raising the selling price of chicken on the market.
