Brief research on Hebrew tributes in Cuba

The Hebrews' admiration for Mart?was extraordinary to the point of planting a forest with his name on the slopes of Judea as a tribute to his centenary. The printing of a leaflet in Hebrew with a brief biography of Mart? given to every child in Israel's public schools by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1953. The placing of floral offerings on busts and statues of Mart?in Havana's Central Park and the Parque de la Libertad, today's Plaza de Marte in Santiago de Cuba, were some of the tributes paid by this community on the island and abroad.
