The Art of Toy Story 3

Pixar's next leap forward will take viewers back to the story that started it all. This summer, Woody, Buzz, Rex, Slinky Dog, and thousands of toy soldiers alongside a surprising cast of new toys are set to return to the big screen in Toy Story 3. Internationally renowned animation historian Charles Solomon takes readers through the technical challenges, triumphs, and emotional hurdles that faced the Pixar team as they developed the toys' final adventure. Charles Solomon, internationally known animation historian and critic, has written for magazines and newspapers worldwide, from the New York Times to Rolling Stone. He is the author of several books, including Enchanted Drawings: The History of Animation, which was the first film book to be nominated for a National Book Critic's Circle Award. He lives in Los Angeles, California.

John Lasseter is a two-time Academy AwardR-winning director and the chief creative officer at Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios.

Lee Unkrich joined Pixar in 1994, and has since edited and co-directed several films, including Toy Story 2, Monsters, Inc., and Finding Nemo. He is the director of Toy Story 3.
